Camera Catches Purse Snatcher At Long Island Restaurant; Suspect Sought

If you recognize this sticky-fingered diner, police want to hear from you.

A surveillance camera was rolling when a man made off with a forgotten purse at a Long Island restaurant.

The incident happened in East Meadow, at the Qdoba restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike, at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

Nassau County Police said a man and woman were sitting in a booth when they saw that someone had left a brown leather purse on the seat behind them.

Video shows the man grab the bag, which contained a credit card and jewelry, before quickly exiting the restaurant. Three other people at his table then follow behind him.

Police described the first suspect as an adult male with long black hair and a small beard. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black shoes, and a black baseball cap.

The second suspect is an adult female with long black, curly hair and tattoos on her left arm. She was wearing a black shirt, black pants, black sneakers, and black glasses.
